Hy-Ten's owners, Udo and Franz Fritsch, have been working in China and Taiwan since the 1970s. Hy-Ten began sourcing molds in China in 2000 and has built molds for over 170 parts in China since then.

In 2002, Hy-Ten partnered with its sister company, Data Electronic Devices (www.dataed.com), and opened a 55,000 square foot facility in Shenzhen, China.

Today, Hy-Ten staffs full-time plastics engineers in Shenzhen to manage and support our customers' Asian tooling needs. Basing full-time engineers in China expands Hy-Ten's US tooling capabilities and avoids the pitfalls commonly experienced with China sourcing. It also ensures that all our China tooling and sampling is done to Hy-Ten and our customers' stringent requirements.
